The 64 things I think I will miss about Living in Austin, Tx (and attending LASA high school)

Okay, so I know I'm not in Japan yet, but I thought I should start this blog anyways for 2 main reasons: 1. I don't want to have a blog up without any posts, that's just dumb, and 2. so that I can start telling people to read my blog, and actually have something for them to read. So I thought I would start posting stuff about my progress in getting ready to leave, etc. hopefully nothing too boring.... So here is my little goodbye and thank you to everyone I will miss. I realize it may be a little early to do this, but I thought with the end of the school year, everyone is already in goodbye mode, so might as well. This especially goes out to my Junior friends at LASA who will be gone when I come back :'(

1. hiding from Sensei with the rest of my 7th period Japanese class

2. having long conversations with Clara on the bus in the morning

3. coordinating with friends when to dress up in skirts, dresses, and heels

4. Emily's "that's what she said" jokes

5. Having long conversations with Adam on the bus in the afternoon

6. Not being able to have a conversation with Nathan without arguing

7. "studying" in physics with Clara and Emily

8. Nathan and Sensei teaming up to criticize me

9. Having unstoppable fits of laughter with Clara and Gabby

10. Talking with Miguel, Maribel, and Lisset in Astronomy before class starts

11. Mr. Oleniczak's joke of the day

12. Listening to the first years in 5th period struggle to squeeze out a single sentence in Japanese

13. Talking with Audrey, Elissa, and Joe in Precal when Ms. Shelton gives us time for homework

14. Being tormented by Adam, Josh, and Devon during 5th period Japanese

15. Helping Allison try to figure out her Japanese homework in forum

16. One trick pony horse show

17. Being verbally abused by Emily

18. Being part of the most apathetic form at our school

19. Anastasia and Testa fighting over who is a better okaasan

20. Convincing Sensei to let us go outside during 7th period Japanese

21. Being able to talk to Anastasia and Sensei whenever I have a problem

21. Blocking the purple hallway with our group of friends in the morning before school

22. Playing Spades whenever we have free time and a deck of cards

23. The 4th years' "Japlish"

24. Katie's death stare when she gets competitive (kowai!)

25. Deciding to "practice conversation" when we were too tired to actually study for Japan bowl

26. Making tea at Japan bowl meetings (with Sensei's sort of dangerous water heater)

27. Watching Emily dance

28. Getting to write in the business law book

29. Basically living in the Japanese classroom

30. Going to Arkansas with Ashley, Lindsay, and Gene

31. Raiding Sensei's desk for food when staying after school for Japan bowl

32. "Punching" Adam in the stomach

33. Acting like the bird dad in survive style 5

34. Being a "nerd" with Testa about Japanese current events

35. Being able to reminisce with friends

36. Austin weather

37. Going into the Japanese room every morning with a list of things to ask Sensei about

38. Teachers who grade my test first, so that I don't come bug them 5 times a day to find out what my grade was

39. Going to music and comedy shows with David

40. Waking up at 12:00 on Saturday and drinking a LARGE cup of coffee (or 2 or 3)

41. SUUPAA KYOUDAI CHIIMU

42. Going to the midnight premiere of the new Harry Potter movie

43. Getting super excited about things with David that no one else I know cares about

44. Spontaneously deciding to go do stuff with Ashley

45. Watching Shrek over and over again with Ashley and Lindsay, and it never becoming not funny.

46. Before and After day with Camille and Morgan

47. Christmas gift Exchange on Valentine's day with the old DI team

48. Having a group of friends that love and support me

49. Japan club at lunch on Fridays

50. Being able to compete in Japan Bowl

51. Being close to my friends (as opposed to being on the other side of the world)

52. Being able to talk to people online and on the phone at a reasonable hour

53. Nathan thinking he has to redeem himself for what happened in Japan Bowl

54. Andrew kicking everything

55. Adam and Gabby discussing Pokemon

56. Taking pictures of Lizzie

57. Kanji competitions with the fourth years

58. Having an excuse (Japan Bowl) to keep up with Japanese current events

59. Having a working cell phone

60. Being around people I know (as in not being surrounded by strangers, most of which I will have difficulty communicating with)

61. Teaching 5th period Japanese classes

62. Seeing my friends (almost) everyday

63. Graduating with the people I went to high school with for 3 years
