Tsukareta

I didn't have time to blog yesterday, so this is my catch up!
So in history we have been studying the Kofun period, which is named for the gigantic graves that important people during this era had made for them. On my way to school, my host mom pointed to this forest looking thing, and told me that it was a kofun! What I learn in history classes has never been so real before, it was amazing! We were just driving past it, but I saw an amazing looking statue inside, I hope I can go see it sometime...
So wednesdays we have weird schedules, "English workshop" for 2 hours, and then Japanese for 2 hours, then lunch, and then Japanese culture and society. In English today (actually yesterday, but saying today is so much easier) we read a short story by oogai, and compared it to kokoro. The main character of this short story really made me angry, I would very much love to just go punch him in the face. I believe the story was called "The dancing girl."
I'll just skip over Japanese, it was the same as usual....
umm at lunch we got bentos, but umm they were not so great, so a bunch of us walked to the drug store and bought some snack food.
After lunch, we had our first ever Japanese culture and society class. I don't know if it will always be the sort of thing that it was today, but today was pretty cool. Paul and Hunter's host mom came and gave us a calligraphy lesson. After the lesson, surveys were distributed, asking what extracurriculars we wanted to do. I wrote that I want to do Kendo, Taiko, and Calligraphy, but I don't think I'll be able to do all of them, and I really can't choose... :(
Also, Javi was sick today, so I had to go home by myself for the first time. Oh, and my host parents were at their grandson's school for grandparent's day, so my host mom's friend, Akiko-san came to pick me up from Kida station. I went over to Akiko-san's house, and ate dinner there. Her daughter was there with her unbelievably adorable son, Kou-chan. They are all so nice! but I still felt really awkward and nervous, so I didn't talk much...
After I got home, I had to finish my english homework, and then do a whole history project, I got to bed pretty late...
