Carter's Birthday-- To Nagoya

9/11/2010
Last night I went home with Candace, and stayed the night at her house, as arranged by our host moms. haha. It was fun.
Today I went with Candace, Kiara, Sami, and Carter to Nagoya. Today was Carter's birthday, so we were having a little celebration.
I was basically used as the translator for the whole trip, they made me talk whenever we needed something. We went to the tourist information center to find out where stuff was, and we got maps :) So we went to the Seven department store, which has the Nana-chan doll out front. Today she was dressed in a Georgia coffee can. This store had some really cute stuff, and it was like 10 floors tall, but everything was really expensive, so we left. For some reason we went into this even more expensive looking mall place, and walked around there for a while. We found this like electronic stuff etc. store, and a few of us bought some stationary stuff. There were a lot of brand-name stores in that mall, and it was super high-tech looking. There was also a movie theatre there, and we considered seeing a movie, but didn't have enough time. We also ate lunch there at this nice pizzeria. It was super yummy.
Next we took a taxi to "Aeon Town" it was so refreshing to shop for cheap stuff! We went to a 100 yen store, and then to a cheap shoe store, and then a book store where I think I found the most perfect present for my mom. At the 100 yen store, I finally bought myself a fan! And I got some presents for people. Oh, I bought Carter his birthday present there, which was a rooster cell phone charm.
On our walk back to the station, Sami insisted that we stop at McDonald's. When I saw what the toys were, I got super excited. I had to order for everyone, so in between people, I asked if I could buy the toys, and the guy told me to buy a meal... so I asked if anyone wanted a kid's meal, but no one did, so I ended up buying a kid's meal, and making everyone else eat it, just so I could get the toy.... It's a present for David, so it was totes worth it.
After Mcdonald's, I insisted that we stop at a 100 yen store, but it wasn't very good, I didn't find anything there...
And then like right next to the station was this really really awesome store that I have to go back to some time, it was amazing! But we were totally out of time at that point, because Candace and I were supposed to be back at Ichinomiya station at 5:00 so that Candace's host mom could pick us up. We of course got there late... After Candace's host mom took us back to their house, my host mom came to pick me up, but then there was the issue of my bike, which I had ridden to Candace's house after school. So Candace and I rode our bikes to the school so that I could park mine, and my host mom picked me up from there, and Candace rode her bike back home. Poor Candace...
Anyway, I came home, and then I ate dinner with my host mom. Oh yeah, my host dad is in Tokyo right now btw. I had some inarizushi and yummy tofu for dinner, and I had a nice talk with my host mom about dramas.
I am currently watching Arashi on a talk show on tv. Nino is trying out being a bee keeper apparently....
oh yeah, that reminds me, Candace showed me this store at ichinomiya station that sells music + pop stuff! there is like a whole section for arashi stuff, and a whole section for akb48 stuff! I didn't buy anything today, because we were meeting people, but I will defs get something from there sometime...
yeah, I'm tired, I'm sorry that this and the last blog post are so all over the place and have super bad grammars, I'll try harder next time, promise!
